Thank you for visiting the Burton Law Group, P.C. website. Our legal team has decades of experience ready to help you in your time of need. We are not a firm that will promise you things we cannot deliver and we will always treat you with courtesy and compassion. We handle cases in the following legal areas:

Personal Injury
We assist people who have been injured as a result of someone else’s negligence which can be in the form of a car accident, oilfield injury, product malfunction, construction accident, boating accident, dog bite, premises negligence or almost any other injury caused by someone else’s negligence. We can assist with getting you the medical treatment you need and the financial recovery you deserve. It is imperative that you seek legal counsel as soon as possible and consultations at Burton Law Group, P.C. are free.

Workers Compensation
When you’ve been injured in the workplace or while performing a task or errand for your employer, you are entitled to Workers Compensation Benefits. Sometimes, employers and insurance companies do not want to pay these benefits and will deny or delay your claim. A common tactic used by insurance adjusters is to deny you the medical treatment you need. We can help in obtaining approval of your claim and obtaining the medical treatment you deserve.

Social Security Disability
If you have a serious medical condition that prevents you from obtaining gainful employment, you can apply for benefits with the Social Security Administration. We can help you prepare and submit your claim, giving you the advantage of our expertise in filing SSDI and SSI claims. Your claim will be reviewed by the Social Security Administration and sometimes, even though you should be awarded benefits, your claim may be denied.

If this happens to you, don’t give up. Many people who are denied benefits the first time often end up receiving benefits through the appeal process, which we can handle for you as well. Call us for a Free Consultation on your Social Security case.

Employment Law
Oklahoma is an employee-at-will state which means that in the absence of an employment contract, an employee can be terminated for any reason or no reason at all but an employee cannot be terminated for a protected reason. There are many protected reasons. For instance, an employee cannot be terminated for taking time off to serve on a jury, or on the basis of race, religion, gender, or sex. It is also unlawful to terminate an employee in retaliation for pursuing a workers’ compensation claim.

If you believe your employer has terminated you for filing a workers’ compensation claim or from being absent from work due to an on-the-job injury, we would be happy to provide a free consultation. While this type of termination is unlawful, it is also extremely difficult to prove. Evidence of the real reason for the termination is always a key element to this type of claim. In the event you feel you have been retaliated against due to an on-the-job injury, feel free to call our office. We’re Here to Help!
